CUA has changed its BSB number

From July 1 2010 CUA changed its BSB number to BSB 814-282.

CUA have taken this step as it will help us to simplify and gain greater flexibility in our transaction processing systems. In turn, this will help us to rationalise costs and allow us to make a change for the better for our members.

Members who have existing cheque and deposit books that are encoded with the old BSB will be sent replacement books progressively from September 2010.

In the meantime members who have set up direct credits (pay) and direct debits (bills) into their accounts through other organisations will need to advise those organisations of the new BSB number. When advising the organisations you will need to provide them with the new BSB number and your eight digit account number – not your membership number.

There will be a transition period of 12 months during which the old BSB will continue to operate. However, members are encouraged to advise their direct debit/credit suppliers of the change early so that they are not inconvenienced by misdirected debits and credits for their accounts.

If you have any question or need help in making these changes please call us on 133 cua (133 282) , email bsb.change@cua.com.au, or drop into your local branch.
