CUA strengthens joint venture and acquisitions capability

17 June 2010

CUA has further strengthened its alliance, venture and acquisitions capability with the appointment of Chris Malcolm, Senior Manager, Corporate Development.

CUA’s Group General Manager for Strategy and Marketing, Andrew Hadley said this is a newly developed role for CUA and follows the recent appointment of Rob Price as Head of Strategy.

“Chris’ appointment comes at an exciting time for the business, with CUA expanding it’s horizons to look at a range of venture and acquisition opportunities,” Mr Hadley said.

“CUA’s leadership is increasingly concentrating on strategies for growth and now is the perfect environment to formalise the corporate development function. Rob Price is building CUA’s strategy and corporate development capability and Chris will be a great addition to the team.”

Mr Malcolm has more than 12 years experience in corporate and business development, strategic alliance and opportunity development, market access strategies and new business acquisitions in the financial services sector.

“CUA is actively seeking alliances, new ventures, acquisitions and other growth opportunities with synergies to our business. Chris’ background in investment banking and financial services will be a driving force to help achieve these outcomes,” Mr Hadley said.

“Chris will be looking to engage with organisations that potentially meet our strategic growth requirements. Interested parties should contact either Rob Price or Chris Malcolm.”
